INTRODUCTION

Department of Rachna Sharir stands as one of the the important pillar of basic principles of Ayurveda. Rachna Sharir subject comprises study of normal body structures documented by Ayurveda and the Acharyas as well as the study of of modern anatomy by doing cadaveric dissection.
Our department having well equipped departmental library ,museum , dissection hall ,specimens, mummified body, models having charts of all body systems like digestive system, reproductive system, respiratory system.Also various projects of rachana sharir created by students.

Vision

Imparting basic concepts of Sushrut Samhita and clinical based knowledge of Anatomy to students for strengthening there Foundation of basic principles for future clinical practices.

Mission

  1. Teach samhitha based ‘Sharir ‘from practical point of view.
  2. Imparting knowledge of Anatomy using maximum aids and tools thereby by making it easy and interesting for students.
  3. Initiate further research in Rachana Sharir through various research projects.
  4. Develop new techniques for specimen and model preparation,cadaver preservation and Museum development.
