Shalya Tantra

INTRODUCTION

Shalyatantra is one of the branch of Ayurveda which plays an important role in dealing with removal of various shalyas from body and to treat various surgical diseases by using yantra shastra, Kshar, Agni, Jalauka. Department of Shalya tantra has library, various models, Specimens, Charts, Instruments for demonstration. Shalyatantra Dept has OPD, Ksharsutra Procedure Room, well Equipped Operation theatre and male and female IPD.

Vision

To teach Ayurveda students basic principals of surgery and to develop quantities of ideal surgeon.

Mission

To give practical knowledge by showing live surgical procedures.
To teach surgery practically on various models ie. Yogya vidhi.
To encourage students and also to develop courage for attending and performing surgical procedures.
